Mlavi is a PETA approved vegan brand that designs and wholesales fun, original and colorful vegan fashion accessories including bags, wallets, coin purses, travel accessories, tech accessories, fashion jewelry and social stationary since 2001.

Mlavi opened its first brick and mortar boutique in Toronto Junction in 2004 where we tested our new designs and it was also served as a showroom for retailer buyers as well as press. As Mlavi designs have been regularly featured by Canada's No.1 fashion magazine LOU LOU and many consumers got in touch to find out where they can buy our designs due to there was no retailer close to them sold our products, Mlavi Boutique online store was launched (www.mlavi.biz) later that year. In 2008, Mlavi opened our 2nd. brick and mortar store Toronto Yonge and Eglinton neighborhood. In the same year we moved our online store to a new and better designed www.lavishy.ca.

As the retail industry changes drastically these past few years, Mlavi closed both brick and mortar boutiques in Toronto and focus on our online boutique www.lavishy.ca.

Mlavi thinks "shop small and shop local" will benefit your local community. Mlavi products are fun and inexpensive, so shipping cost might be a concern. For example, we don't sell ring online at all because it does not make sense to us for customers to buy a $9 ring but pay $15 for shipping. But it actually costs us more than $15 to ship a ring as it need special packaging to ensure it does not break during the transportation.

Shop locally is fun where you can touch and feel the products in person. Also there is way direct communication between shoppers and shop owners/managers. We miss our time when we have the store in Junction and our customers brought their family and visiting friends to see us. We know their stories and we shared the joy of their birthday and anniversary. (Personally I would never forget one of our little customer who proudly wearing a birthday boy badge and shopping around in our store--as he told me the day was not even his birthday, he could not wait to celebrate his birthday which was two days later.)
