extile production in
Turkey goes back to the Ottoman period. In the 16th and 17th centuries,
textile production was widespread and at an advanced level. The geographical position of Ottoman territory placed it at the trade route between the East and West. Therefore Turkish textile is rich in inspirations and motifs such as flowers (tulips, carnations, roses, spring blossom, and hyacinth), trees (apple, date palm, cypress), animals (peacock, deer), crescent moon, star motifs, fruit (pomegranate, apple, date, artichoke, pineapple).
Turkish tiles and ceramics occupies a place of prominence in the history of Islamic art since the 8th century. It's development was influenced by Karakhanid, Ghaznavid, and Iranian Seljuk art. Turquoise was the most frequently-used color for glaze while cobalt blue, eggplant violet, and sometimes black were also popular.
Our collection was inspired by beautiful Turkish textile and ceramic tile designs to create these vegan leather bags, wallets and accessories with bold patterns. This collection contains Bori cross body bags, Seattle cross body bags, flat wallets, vintage style kiss lock frame coin purses and small pouches.
